My fashionable Mum

I love how gorgeous this ring and earring is. My mum wore this on Human Rights Day. Both items were bought in Bangkok. I love the detail on the ring.

Nes's Photography

This was shot before we could go to the gym. Loving the over sized aviators (Ray Ban) and a nice, tight bun. Hubby is such a talented photographer. Check out his Online Portfolio

I Love Durban Competition

Good morning lovely readers. The one thing I love about living in Durban is the diverse cuisine you can enjoy here. Delicious Indian curries to exotic Tapas to amazing Greek food to (as you all know, Italian being my favourite) Italian pizzas and pastas. Whether you are looking for fine dining or you need to grab your grub on the go, the choices are endless. However, we all have our favourite places to go to, to satisfy our hunger pangs. When you want to eat a really amazing, divine, delicious pizza where do you go?

I Love Durban is running their weekly competition to find the Best Pizza in Durban! Vote for one of the above restaurants by visiting their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ilovedurban or checking out their site http://www.ilovedurban.co.za/.

For me, my favourite pizza would come from... Hmmmm... I honestly cannot choose between these two... it would have to be Spiga and La Storia.

Looking back at a few holiday trips

Amsterdam

Holland

Germany
Athens

Istanbul

Santorini

India

Mauritius

The most wonderful thing about traveling is you develop an open mind and a fantastic appreciation for diverse lifestyles. You get to immerse yourself in different cultures, languages, food, art and lifestyle. It makes you realise that the world is such a big place. The problems and challenges that seem so big in your day to day to life, become so small when you travel and see how massive the world is. People have to go through so much more. They face difficulties that we cannot even imagine. We always need to be grateful and thankful for what we have, and the lives we lead.

My favourite travel memory is visiting the Vatican City in Rome and the Louvre in Paris. It was so beautiful, it brought me to tears.
My favourite shopping places are Hong Kong, (the designer stores are fantastic) Istanbul, (you can pick up the most beautiful lamp shades, mosaic candle holders, unique pieces of jewellery, among the clothes and shoes) Italy (fashion, fashion and more fashion), Dubai (perfumes, handbags and beautiful home-ware) and Bangkok (gorgeous dresses, however if you put on a little bit of weight, they won't fit you anymore.  Dresses are made to very small sizes).
My favourite relaxation spots were Switzerland and Santorini. Switzerland for the peaceful surroundings, the mountains and the long walks that you can take while you breathe in the fresh air. Santorini for the beautiful beach and warm people.
The country I am most obsessed with is Italy. Having visited Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples and Sorrento. This is the country that I would love to go back to. (To see Milan and Tuscany) The delicious food (for some reason, the gorgeous girls can eat A Lot and still stay so tiny and lean), people (what warm people, they just greet you on the street as you walk by), fashion (insane fashion!), art (it's so amazing how all those sculptures and paintings remain preserved), buildings and streets... they fueled my creative soul and made me feel so alive.

Hubby's Awesome 'Godfather' themed Birthday party

There is nothing more special than spending the day you were born with close families and friends. I threw hubby an exciting birthday party. For the people that know me, you will know that I am obsessed with themes... my bridal shower was Victoria's Secrets Angels, my Kitchen Tea was done to a Mexican Tea-quila theme, my entire wedding celebrations were themed. When given the opportunity to throw a themed party for hubby, I really had a great time planning it. We had The Godfather themed music playing as guests arrived, we even showed all 3 movies in our TV lounge area the whole night. We had a casino area set up. Guns, cigars and blood splattered stickers on our sliding door. Outside was set up like a vineyard with fairy lights. The table centre pieces were stunning glass bowls filled with fresh fruits; guavas, grapes, plums and nectarines. The alternate centre pieces were grass balls on little straw baskets. I searched high and low for someone to make me cannolis. I finally found Sweetpie Bakery. People dressed up to theme like Mafia members. The ladies either dressed like Mafia guys or 1920's women. It was such a fantastic celebration for my husband's birthday. It's moments like these, when you have your family close that makes every hardship you ever encountered in life, worthwhile and meaningful. It's these moments that make life worth living. Special thank you to all my family members and friends that helped make this party such a success, I couldn't have put it together without each and every one of you! To my hubby, I love you dearly!

Sweetypie Bakery

This is the most amazing birthday cake designed to 'The Godfather' theme from Sweetypie bakery for Hubby's Birthday.

Not only did it look amazing but it tasted divine too. The bottom layer was a chocolate cake with ganache filling and the top layer was vanilla with a yummy buttercream filling. I also ordered these themed cupcakes, as well as beautiful red velvet, strawberry cupcakes, cannolis and mini tarts. Hands down, best bakery! You can contact Sweetypie bakery on https://www.facebook.com/sweetypiecakes?ref=ts&fref=ts

Madame Tussard's London

I was going through some pics and found these fun ones from our Eurotrip. We spent a month in Europe, London and Dubai. It was amazing! Madame Tussard's is an incredible, worthwhile experience. From the moment you enter the doors, you are transported into a different world. It is fun and exciting. The celebrities look so real, you actually feel like you are with them. You feel like you are seeing all of your favourite celebrities at once and you cannot wait to move onto the next location. The tour is diverse taking you into different genres: sport, politics, horror, old Hollywood. You can't seem to get enough. This was definitely my highlight in London. A must see!

Lace is so elegant

I have always loved the look and feel of lace. Something about it that makes me feel so elegant. These are my 2 lace looks. A simple black lace dress, paired with a pale blue heel and a lovely, long sleeved mini, with a wrap around skirt paired with a bright red clutch. I just love a pop a colour.
